In today's world, it's hard to come across album artwork or even band photos.  Rarely does anyone see music videos, or even listen to the full album.  I found my start in design and photography with local bands and that is why this project was really special to me. 

Art of the Bands showcased contemporary local musicians alongside those my parents used to listen to.  It is a showcase of the band's identity, but with 40+ artists in the exhibit, it was also a compilation of some of the greatest musical moments of Shreveport.  That is why I chose the mix tape.
